Funke's is a family owned and operated
greenhouse business with it's roots deep in the rich history of
Spring Grove villiage.
When the Funkes first settled here
this region was one of the outlying areas surrounding Cincinnati
that fed the city with fresh produce.
Over time the city grew up around us,
but the spirit of the family farm remains.
After downsizing drasticly in 2008,
due primarily to consumer reaction to weather events beyond our
control, we are only open to the public from Mid March through
June.
We grow and sell flower and vegetable
plants for the spring planting season to the gardeners of Greater
Cincinnati with a focus on quality.
Our mission continues to be to teach
an understanding of, and reconnection with nature to an urban
and suburban population desperately in need of it through the
sales of garden plants and products.
With the rising price, and questionable
chemistry of produce at the grocery we have enhanced that mission
to include providing plants, materials, and knowledge necessary
for home gardeners to take control of their own food supply.

the Mitchell Ave. exit I-75 at 4798 Gray Rd. Cincinnati 45232.
